IJF Rules

Planning summary

  • International reference rules for IJF World Tour and ranking-point events.
  • Competition system depends on event type and athlete count per category.
  • Low-number categories use special systems: round robin for 3–5 athletes, modified brackets for 6–7.

Bracket notes

  • Senior World Tour events use full repechage: any athlete who lost to a finalist re-enters.
  • Continental Cups and some veteran events use double repechage.
  • Cadet, junior and youth events follow separate rulebooks — repechage scope may differ.
